Isaiah 53:1-2New International Version (NIV)
53 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
We often look at people and judge them by how they look to determine whether we will date them, are they successful and even if we will be there friend or associate with them in any way.
Daily, we walk past people and do not know anything about them. Unknowingly we can walk past future politicians, authors, athletes… and because they look a certain way we wouldn’t eleven give them a second thought… until we see them on television or making money. Then they are important to us and we marvel after them
Sadly many of bus only focus on what we see rather than what’s true. Jesus was born in a manger, wore some of the worst rags and lived nowhere. Yet, he is our Savior!
I charge us today to look at people for who they really are. This means treat everyone the same based on the fact they are human instead of focusing on what they look like. You would be surprised the blessing you can receive just from being nice. Be blessed.
