Psalm 73 King James Version (KJV)

73 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.

16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

In this psalm, King Asaph was much like many of us.  We go to church, we are involved in church, we treat people right, we sacrifice, and we get done wrong and forgive.  Yet, it seems like the wicked are the ones who prosper. Why? Why must we be the laughing stock of the world we ask. Why must we go through so much though we are doing right?  Why does it seem like we are catching the most hell when we worship the heavenly father?  THAT’S JUST IT!

We go through because of who we serve. We go through because our riches are in glory, not in this world. You see the wicked and the carnal are reaping their reward now because thy have none later. You may not have as much as them.  You may not have all that you want and struggling to get what you need.  You may be envois at times to see those who have done you wrong prosper the way they do on this side. BUT REMEMBER!

Our reward is not on this side.  Our reward is in heaven. Keep pushing!  Keep striving! Focus on the heavenly riches, not the things others have.  You Are Blessed! Blessed Beyond Measure! Thank God for what you do have and the rest will be provided.  You may not have what everyone else has, but you have Jesus… All you need.  Be blessed!
