Luke 6:30The Message (MSG)
27-30 “To you who are ready for the truth, I say this: Love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer for that person. If someone slaps you in the face, stand there and take it. If someone grabs your shirt, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. If someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously.
Have you ever had a time in your life where you wanted to retaliate in a negative way towards someone for what they did to you? Did you act on it? How did it make you feel afterwards? What did it prove? Do you regret trying to get that person back for what they did?
I ask those questions to say this. GOD IS WATCHING US ALL. You can only account for the actions of you, not others. The way we react to things and people not only shows how mature we are or are not but it also shows what is on the inside of us. Your actions are a transparency of what you are thinking and feeling. Be careful of your thoughts which become actions.
I urge us all to ask God for a regulated mind and right spirit daily. We need it in today’s world! I pray you the richest blessings today!
