Joshua 1:6-9King James Version (KJV)
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest
There was a man who had just become a father. His son was at the stage in his young life to where he was trying to walk. He would stand for some seconds on his own but he would never take a step.
Finally his father took him by the hands for balance and pulled him to make him step forward. Scared surely and unsure the baby boy ‘s face was in a nervous state. The father told his son, “Don’t be scared son. I gotcha.”
After a few sessions of the father walking with the baby, he finally decided built up confidence one day to try on his own. A great job he did indeed. Though he fell from time to time, his father was always there to pick him up, dust him off and have him try again.
In our lives, many of us are trying to attain better. We are trying to elevate and move to different places where we would be more comfortable. Yet, to be comfortable you first have to be uncomfortable. You gave to go through something.
The joy of it all however us God is with us! When we fall is right there to pick us up.
I charge us today to be like God told Joshua to be. Let’s be strong and courageous! Be blessed.
