2 Corinthians 7:9-10 As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us. For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death
It is so easy to get caught up in the world and worldly things: people, drugs, alcohol, fame, fortune, money, sex, multiple relationships, etc… What tends to happen now is we do these things so long it becomes a norm when it shouldn’t. We become dependent on things and people that will eventually either fail us, pass away or subside. I call us the oblivious generation because we are great at ignoring what is right to not feel any pain for doing the wrong things. Herzog we know what is right, but we do wrong anyway simply because it’s easier. No one ever said doing right was easy but I promise it’s more rewarding.
Let’s try to do right today. Get a fresh start. Let those good for nothing associates go. Put down that cigarette. Start a process in which you wont curse so much. Wear clothes that aren’t so revealing. Leave that guy or girl on the side alone. Whatever it may be, it may not be easy but with God all things are possible. You can do it! Be blessed.
